How to Write a Letter of Intent

A letter of intent is the best way to show your strengths without mentioning your weaknesses. By writing this kind of letter, you can paint the best picture of yourself. A letter of intent is simply a letter that expresses your intention to do an activity, whether it is taking out a business loan, university contribution or a job purpose.     4. Next is the main body – the main idea of the letter. Mention only that information which is suitable to the plot. Then name some reasons that made you write this letter, such as specific events that led you to this decision. At the end of this paragraph, talk about why you specifically choose this school or organization, say where you heard about the program, if it will help your argumentation.
    5. In the end of the letter of intent, call the reader into action. Ask for a call back, request an interview, or just say that you’re expecting a reply. Some organizations have fixed instructions, so re-read them before making any demands. And finally, write complete contact details. Make sure that your address, phone and e-mail is written right. Most of the companies contact individuals the phone or email.
    6. Make your letter personal. It should be addressed to the specific organization that you are submitting to. If you are writing to a university, note why you choose exactly this university and course. If the letter is a business proposal, try to highlight the actions that demonstrate your professional skills that could be applied to the company you are addressing to. Remember to use proper grammar and include all information required from the outlined instructions.
    7. Print the first draft, proofread it and make corrections and necessary changes. Be sure that your letter of intent reads easily, clearly and every sentence makes sense. Make the writing flow from the first paragraph to the end. Ask someone to read the letter for you.
    8. Include any other application materials to the letter of intern and submit the package to the organization according to instructions.
